This month I gigged with a newly formed Groovesmith, a funk/jazz band down in Longbeach. They’re nice guys and play good music. We play at Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles in LB on Sundays. Been recording with North Carolina royalty the Brown Brothers at the Hollywood studio. Some real funky stuff, old school p-funk style. Lots of fun and very catchy. 8 days in and I just played my first gig in Los Angeles (since moving here full time).
